I cannot recommend Medardo and his team at Galvez Painting more highly. We live in a lower unit brownstone with a front entry way / mud room that sits under a stoop. Due to the setup, there is often moisture that seems in every few years and causes the plaster and paint to peel.
Medardo and his team arrived to scope out the area, provide a quote, and complete the work in a really fast timeline which is exactly what we needed. They needed minimal direction and no oversight from us, and I would hire them for any painting work in the future!

I can’t recommend Medardo highly enough. He was incredibly responsive, thorough, and professional. He accommodated all of my requests, including several change orders. The quality of work was the best I’ve seen across a number of home improvement projects over the years. And the pricing was very fair. Scope of work: repainting basement, smoothing out textured plaster walls, fixing some mortar damage to brick wall, painting concrete floors.

Had a great experience working with the crew at Galvez for painting the exterior of our home. The quality of the work was exceptional, and they were extremely reasonably priced. They connected me carpenter that worked on our porch and back deck replacing the deck boards and railings. They timed the painting to finish just after to touch up all the areas. Medardo and his crew did a pretty big project for us- closing up a wall after a fireplace demo and interior painting on all walls, doors, baseboards, and ceilings, plus skimming on all ceilings and some walls on our almost 2,000 sq ft townhouse. MEDARDO was super easy to communicate with, very responsive. Very patient. Lots of things were added throughout, and I wasn’t always great at making decisions.
Some issues did come up towards the end once the doors dried but we were able to resolve quickly. Due to the holidays and changes along the way they worked in our places for about a month (this timeframe made sense for us, I felt they worked very efficiently while still creating fair working conditions for their crew) and I always felt super comfortable bringing anything up and chatting with them.

I very seldom write a review, but Galvez Painting exceeded my expectations. They did both indoor and outdoor painting for my home, and the work is outstanding! Even my next door neighbor commented and wanted their phone number. They are very professional and meticulous, and reasonably priced. Medardo is a joy to be around, he is friendly, patient and courteous. They started and finished the work as scheduled. I will be using them for all my future painting needs. I highly recommend them!!

From beginning to end, it was a pleasure working with Medardo! The job was done efficiently and with great care! The paint job came out exactly how I envisioned it.
A day into my original request- to paint my kitchen cabinets- I also asked him to paint the bathroom cabinets...he agreed to paint them and still stayed within the timeframe the project was projected to finish.
